The Giants are in Super Bowl XLVI. Since they are, technically, the JERSEY GIANTS (practicing, playing, and most players living in New Jersey),  it’s a great occasion to watch the big football game with other local fans.

Bars across South Jersey will feature grand Super Bowl parties, including great food, drinks, prizes and the ability to watch the game on multiple big screen TVs. Here are some our picks for Super Bowl bar parties in Camden County.

SoJo Sports: The Phillies Lost – Now What?

The 2011 Philadelphia Phillies season came to an abrupt end last week at the hands of the St. Louis Cardinals.  This Phillies team came into the season with such high expectations, anything less than a World Series Parade down Broad Street was unacceptable.

Under those expectations, this season was a disappointment.

This Phillies team won a franchise record 102 wins.  They possessed one of the best collections of starting pitching, however not even that could get them past the Cardinals.  Once again the bats went colder than the October nights.  Cliff Lee blew a four run lead, at home, in game two.  Game two is exactly why Ruben Amaro, Jr. brought back Cliff Lee.  After Roy Halladay takes control of game one, Cliff Lee was supposed to come in and handle business, followed up by Cole Hamels and Roy Oswalt.  (more…)
